This course is for people desiring to work as Community Care Managers, Case Coordinators (Community Services) or Welfare Support Workers in the Community Services Industry. People in these positions are involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities. At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management.
This course has 20 units of competency, which includes 12 core units and 8 elective units. Learners must complete all 20 units to complete this course.

There is a compulsory workplace component where learners must undertake 400 hours of work experience at an approved host employer. Students may choose a host employer from the College’s approved host employer list or propose their own host employer. All host employers must be pre-approved by YES College to ensure they are suitable and have all the required facilities, resources and equipment as determined by the College. Before commencing work placement, students must meet the following mandatory requirements at their own expense. Students will be informed of when to obtain these documents.

Academic Pathways
