Scheduled Contact Hours and Timetable

20 hours per week for 40 weeks.


Class timetables may be from 7am to 10pm Monday to Sunday, subject to availability.


Additionally, students are expected to spend at least 10 hours of individual study per week on research, learning activities and assessment activities utilising the facilities and resources available at YES College.

Entry Requirements

Age Requirements
YES College has a requirement that all students must be over 18 years of age at the commencement of course.


Academic Requirements

For direct entry into this program, candidates must be able to demonstrate:

· Completion of the Higher School Certificate or equivalent; or
· Vocational qualification from the AUR Automotive Retail, Service and Repair Training Package at AQF level 4 or other relevant qualification at AQF 4 level or higher; or
· Employment experience in a relevant position such as:
- Senior Panelbeater

- Workshop Supervisor

English Language Requirements
International students (from countries where English is not the first language) are expected to have a minimum English Language standard and are required to have one of the following prior to enrolling in this qualification:


You should qualify in ANY ONE (1) of the following:
· At least 50% completion of any AQF Certificate III or higher qualification
· Achieved an IELTS band score of 5.5
· Achieved an IELTS band score of 5.0 plus must have completed Upper intermediate ELICOS (At least 10 weeks)
· Achieved an IELTS score of 4.5 plus must have completed Upper intermediate ELICOS (At least 20 weeks)
· Successfully completed at least 38 weeks of ELICOS study in Australia
· Successfully completed a Yes College English language test

Pathways

· BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management or other AQF level 6 qualifications.


· Employment in positions such as Automotive Workshop Manager, Automotive Services/Repair Manager and Area Manager.

This course is for people aiming for leadership and senior management roles in the automotive industry in positions such as Automotive Workshop Manager, Automotive Services/Repair Manager and Area Manager. You will develop skills in business operations, strategic planning, and team leadership to manage automotive enterprises effectively. At this level, you will apply a broad range of specialised knowledge and analytical skills to lead teams and make informed business decisions. The course is applicable across all sectors of the industry.

This course has 12 units of competency, which includes 6 core units and 6 elective units. Learners must complete all 12 units to complete this course.
