Scheduled Contact Hours and Timetable

Class timetables may be from 7am to 10pm Monday to Sunday, subject to availability.


Additionally, students are expected to spend at least 10 hours of individual study per week on research, learning activities and assessment activities utilising the facilities and resources available at YES College.

Age Requirements
YES College has a requirement that all students must be over 18 years of age at the commencement of course.


Academic Requirements

For direct entry into this program, candidates must be able to demonstrate:

· Completion of Australian High School Year 10 or equivalent; or
· Vocational qualification from the AUR Automotive Retail, Service and Repair Training Package at AQF level 2 or other relevant qualification at AQF 2 level or higher; or
· Employment experience in a relevant position such as:
- Vehicle detailer

- Vehicle body repair assistant

- Panelbeater assistant

English Language Requirements
International students (from countries where English is not the first language) are expected to have a minimum English Language standard and are required to have one of the following prior to enrolling in this qualification:


You should qualify in ANY ONE (1) of the following:
· At least 50% completion of any AQF Certificate III or higher qualification
· Achieved an IELTS band score of 5.5
· Achieved an IELTS band score of 5.0 plus must have completed Upper intermediate ELICOS (At least 10 weeks)
· Achieved an IELTS score of 4.5 plus must have completed Upper intermediate ELICOS (At least 20 weeks)
· Successfully completed at least 38 weeks of ELICOS study in Australia
· Successfully completed a Yes College English language test

Pathways

· AUR40720 Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology.


· Employment as a Panelbeater or Vehicle Body Restoration Technician.

This course is for people who want to work as Panelbeaters and Vehicle Body Restoration Technicians in the car and vehicle repair industry. In this role, you will develop practical skills to repair and maintain the bodies of cars, trucks, and other vehicles. You will learn how to fix panels, frames, and finishes to meet industry standards. People at this level work under supervision and apply a range of well-developed skills and basic technical knowledge to carry out routine and some non-routine tasks safely and effectively.

This course has 31 units of competency, which includes 17 core units and 14 elective units. Learners must complete all 31 units to complete this course.
